Dubai - Arabstoday

Imagine tucking into Nobu\'s legendary Black Cod Yuzu Miso; celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli\'s Homemade chestnut potato ravioli, butter black truffle; or Gary Rhodes\' Twenty10 burger with seared foie gras all for a fraction of the price. Forget the Dh5,000 bill in exchange for a taste of Chef Nobu\'s delights; or even the Dh1,000 well spent at Armani Peck. At up to Dh30 a dish, these gastronomical delights won\'t come with their astronomical pricetags. Welcome to Taste of Dubai, a three-day culinary festival to indulge your tastebuds like never before. With 31 of the world\'s best chefs gathered under one open sky this weekend, it\'s time to let your inner connoisseur go wild. The event, an annual foodie favourite, from March 15 to 17, allows food aficionados all over the city to sample signature dishes, freshly prepared by highly acclaimed chefs, while exploring specialist culinary delights, sample premium beverages and enjoy a fabulous programme of music and entertainment. As a double whammy to epicurean delights is the fact that food-lovers get the rare change to rub shoulders with their favourite chefs, hopefully walking away with a secret tip or two. Those interested in learning the fine art of food for themselves can spend the day at the Philips Chef\'s Theatre where some of the best chefs in the business will take to the stage, cooking up a storm. Expect to see the person behind the meal as Italian extraordinaire Aldo Zilli, British legend Gary Rhodes, Indian icon Vineet Bhatia, and Food Network\'s Aarti Sequeira all perform on stage. Additionally, amateur chefs and those who enjoy the art of creating picture perfect food can attend the Miele Cookery School. Every hour a celebrity chef will share their skills and put 12 participants through their paces to create delicious results at a live cooking station. From Andy Campbell, Aldo Zilli and Giorgio Locatelli; to Rivington Grill\'s Scott Stokes, Gaucho\'s Fernando Trocca, Armani Peck\'s Francesco Dimonte and Grosvenor House\'s Tom Egerton, each chef will handle a 40-minute masterclass where guests will have the opportunity to prep, cook and sample recipes. Eat, drink and be merry The perfect marriage with good food is good drink. To help guests wash down those signature dishes is the Beverage Theatre, a room where visitors are invited to explore the flavours of the world\'s greatest beverages. From grape tasting classes with Pascal Joviet, to ale range tasting with Sirocco and a Friends of Jack tasting session with Giovanni De Pergola, the region\'s best mixologists will be on hand to help you better appreciate your favourite tipple.
