The first regular meeting of officials and experts in charge of research and technology transfer of fish catch in the Arab World opened here today. The meeting, organized by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, will last for four days. It aims to identify the most important studies and research in the techniques of fisheries, define the role of statistics and documentation in the development of fisheries, reach an agreement on mechanism for coordination and cooperation through the exchange of experience and knowledge and identify priority areas and applications for the development of fisheries at the national level.(QNA) OM
