Drivers in Qatar have been urged to be extra cautious amid warnings that the heavy fog that has caused dozens of accidents will linger until Friday. Traffic police records showed that 350 accidents occurred on Sunday, mainly as a result of the heavy fog that enveloped large parts of the country, local Arabic daily Al Raya reported. No casualty was reported, but at least eight people were seriously injured. \"We urge drivers to be vigilant on the road,\" traffic authorities said. \"Switching on the car\'s emergency lights in the fog is not the solution as it does not help other drivers anticipate whether the vehicle in front of them will turn right or left. Drivers should drive slowly and should leave a good distance with the vehicles in front of them in order to increase their ability to see and plan ahead,\" they said, quoted by the daily.
