The Environment Public Authority (EPA) said on Sunday it would hold clean-up campaigns for a number of beaches in continuation of its activities and to commemorate the annual celebration of 'Earth Day' to promote the concepts of preserving the environment. Director of the Department of International Relations and Director of Public Relations and Environmental Awareness Raed Al-Husseini told KUNA that the EPA will hold a clean-up campaign of Al-Salam Beach in Shuwaikh in cooperation with (KidZania) family entertainment center on Tuesday. Another campaign will be organized next Thursday to clean up the 'Belajat Beach' in collaboration with Al-Humaizi-owned (Burger King), he added. He explained that these campaigns aim to promote the concept of partnership in the preservation of the environment with private sector institutions. The campaigns also help contribute to the promotion of environmental awareness among all members of society, he said.
