A fire has broken out in a water waste treatment facility at Al-Ahmadi refinery, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced Sunday.
The fire was brought under control by the refinery's firefighting department team, KNPC's deputy CEO for support services Ali Abdullah told the press.
The incident resulted in minor injuries of some of the construction staff. They were taken to the nearest hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.
He added that the refinery's facilities have not been affected by the fire outbreak.
An investigation was launched to determine the cause of this accident.
