A new born baby was found half eaten by hungry stray dogs in Lebanon and police said they were investigating DNA tests to find the parents. Only part of the head and pieces of flesh were found of what was a 24-day old infant dumped in the outside Kfat Hatta village north of the southern town of Sidon, nearly 40 km south of Beirut. Newspapers said residents stumbled across tiny parts of the baby near their houses after dogs apparently bit off the parts and left some of them after finishing their meal. Only the head was found intact, they said. Sidon’s coroner Dr. Abdul Hamid Heshishu said the infant was around one day old and that he had been half devoured by dogs and possibly cats. He did not make clear if the baby was alive before it was attacked by the animals.
