The Ministry of Environment has warned people against using unlicensed or unregistered pesticides. The ministry clarified that it registers all brands of pesticides that meet necessary criteria and that a five-year licence is usually given to approved products. The ministry said it is mandatory for individuals who deal in such products to make sure they carry stickers issued by the ministry specifying their registration number on the label along with other information about the pests targeted by the product. The ministry’s label will also highlight information regarding the method of use of each product and whether they are meant for domestic or garden use.
