The San Diego Zoo says its newest giant panda cub is now 100 days old, which means following Chinese tradition it\'s time to name him. The public has submitted almost 35,000 votes in a poll to name the cub, born on July 29. The six suggested names for the panda are Qi Ji (Miracle), Yu Di (Raindrop), Da Hai (Big Ocean or Big Sea), Xiao Liwu (Little Gift), Yong Er (Brave Son) or Shui Long (Water Dragon), LiveScience reported Wednesday. In a vet checkup Tuesday, the male cub weighed 9.2 pounds and was measured at 23 inches long. The cub is developing normally, caretakers say. \"He\'s really focusing with his eyes right now,\" zoo veterinarian Matt Kinney said. \"You can tell that he\'ll get fixated on one person or one object on the [exam] floor.\" He\'s also started getting his baby teeth, caretakers said. The cub is one of six born to Bai Yun (White Cloud) at the zoo. Four have been sent to China to join that country\'s panda conservation and breeding program, while her son Yun Zi (Son of Cloud) remains at the zoo.
