A hiker in a remote area of Texas\' Big Bend National Park was injured by a mountain lion, park officials said. The incident took place Friday as Andrea Pinero Cebrian and her companions were hiking through the Mesa de Anguila near Lajitas, the San Antonio (Texas) Express-News reported. Cebrian, 29, was attacked by a mountain lion, a park spokesman said. Her friends were able to drive her to a hospital in Alpine where she was treated for injuries considered minor, the spokesman said. That portion of the park has been closed so that park rangers and biologists can investigate the attack and search for the mountain lion.
