Kuwait oil takers are smoothly navigating through Bab Al-Mandab Strait and the region has not been affected by the Saudi-led military operations agaist the Houthi militias in Yemen, state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) affirmed Sunday.
Kuwait oil tankers are equipped with high security and safety tools enabling them to navigate in different circumstances, KPC spokesman Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Sabah said in a statement to reporters on sidelines of Kuwait's conference on risk management.
Sheikh Talal, also CEO of Kuwait Oil Tankers Company (KOTC), said KOTC owned one of the world modern fleets which won many international awards due to its safety and security procedures implemented on board the tankers.
KPC, he added, has full-fledged emergency plan and thus the corporation has activated emergency plans in coordination with security bodies regarding Operation Decisive Storm in Yemen.
These plans, said Sheikh Talal, included the oil operations inside the country and abroad.
