Light showers are expected in the coastal and western areas of the country on Sunday as the dearth of sufficient rain and the long dry spell continues to haunt people across the emirates. The weather will be partly cloudy in general but will increase in some areas, especially the coastal areas and western region of Abu Dhabi, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS). \"There is a chance of light rain,\" said a duty forecaster who reported an unstable weather that has been giving heavy rain in some parts of Saudi Arabia. \"No doubt, we have been passing through a long dry spell but still there are no signs of heavy rain are in sight in the emirates,\" he added. The NCMS said daytime temperatures will fall slightly in cloudy conditions. Winds are likely to be moderately rough in general but could get stronger at times. The sea will also be slightly rough to moderately rough. Read more weather updates.
