Spokesman for Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy Ayman Hamza said power is back in all Upper Egypt governorates after almost two hours of full outage due to heavy fog that forced the halt of Samalout power station.
The spokesman said power returned after less than two hours outage, noting that the High Dam is currently working normally.
He said the 500 k/v power transmission line was disrupted early Sunday due to heavy fog that forced a temporary suspension of Samalout power station and discharge of other stations in the Upper Egypt governorates till the High Dam areas.
