China's southern provinces will remain in a rain belt in the coming days despite the meteorological authority canceled its blue alert for rainstorms on Sunday.
The National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast heavy rain will batter Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi and Guangdong from Monday to Tuesday morning, and some of those regions are expected to be hit by rainstorms with precipitation up to 70 mm.
The rain belt will then gradually move northward to areas along middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, according to the NMC.
Meanwhile some northeastern and southwestern regions including Tibet and Heilongjiang will see light to moderate rainfall.
A week of rainstorms has affected more than 70,000 people in southwest China's Guizhou Province and displaced over 27,000 people in central China's Hunan.
