Egypt has promising opportunities in manufacturing cars and their related industries, said Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil.
The ministry seeks to attain major growth in this sector within the upcoming phase, especially that Egypt owns all capabilities which allows it to establish a real auto industry, he added.
The strategy of manufacturing cars, which is currently being prepared, will include a range of incentives and aims to strengthen this strategic industry, he said in a statement Thursday.
Qabil opened yesterday Automech Formula 2016 at Cairo International Convention & Exhibition Center, which will run until March 21
