Alissa Auto, one of the largest automotive dealers in the Middle East and the official authorised dealer for Nissan in Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of the new X-Trail, one of the most elite vehicles in the Japanese auto maker’s portfolio, through a three-day drive event.
From a base at Durrat Al Arous Beach Resort, media representatives had the chance to put the 2015 X-Trail through its paces, as well as drive the rest of the imposing Nissan SUV line-up.
Nissan vehicles are already selling well in Saudi Arabia, and this will be boosted by the addition of the X-Trail, according to Samir Cherfan, managing director, Nissan Middle East.
He said: “We are committed to bringing the best to Saudi and we know our comprehensive and attractive SUV product line-up, which is especially suited to the Saudi Arabian market will be further enhanced by the addition of the X-Trail.”

Media representatives had extensive exposure to each of Nissan’s SUVs including the new X-Trail, Pathfinder, X-Terra, Armada, Juke and the mighty Patrol.
Muscular, modern and packed with technology, the new Nissan X-Trail re-defines the compact SUV segment by building upon Nissan's respected 4x4 heritage and benefiting from the company’s crossover leadership.
The X-Trail is equipped with the latest generation NissanConnect in-car navigation, information and entertainment system. Drivers will also benefit from a comprehensive suite of assistance features that make up the X-Trail's Nissan Safety Shield system.
The Pathfinder powered into the Gulf in 2013 and took another step forward in 2014, with its unprecedented level of premium style, comfort, fuel technology and thoughtful technology. The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder offers a long list of best-in-class and unique-to-class specifications and features, including the around view monitor, which journalists were particularly taken with. This parking feature allows drivers to have a 360 degree view of their surroundings, facilitating the parking process.
Nissan Patrol is a name synonymous with superior performance and luxury; a legendary off-roader capabilities. Meticulously honed for over 60 years, the Patrol is Nissan’s flagship SUV model and enjoys a rich heritage and passionate followers in the Middle East.
Nissan X-Terra SUV is aimed at serious adventurers. All X-Terra models feature an advanced 4.0-litre straight-six engine, rated at 261 horsepower, along with Nissan’s rugged ‘F-Alpha’ ladder frame platform for adventure-ready action.
Armada continues to stand out in the full-size SUV segment. The 2014 Armada model has a standard 5.6-litre Endurance V8 engine rated at 320 horsepower and 54.3 kg/m of torque, along with an advanced five-speed automatic transmission. Armada can tow up to 4,000 pounds when suitably.
