Euro Motors, the official BMW Group importer in Bahrain, has launched the new BMW X5M and BMW X6M in the kingdom.
The two new models combine BMW’s hallmark high performance engineering with everyday practicality, in turn further strengthening BMW’s X model portfolio, said a statement.
Paul Yates, general manager of Euro Motors, said: “This is an exciting time for our customers as we are bringing some truly premium and performance-focused vehicles to the Bahrain.”
“The BMW X6M and the X5M set the benchmark in terms of driving dynamics in the high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) segments, and for this reason, we are sure they will make a huge mark on the Bahraini automotive market,” he added.
The BMW X5M and X6M’s possess the latest-generation 4.4-litre V8 engine with the innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology which is the BMW’s most powerful engine ever developed for an all-wheel-drive vehicle.
The new vehicles’ innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology with a pair of TwinScroll turbochargers, cross-bank exhaust manifolds, valvetronic and high precision direct petrol Injection, and the 4.4-litre V8 produces maximum output of 423 kW/575 hp.
Making the vehicles capable of hitting 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds through the standard eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, its top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155mph). At the same time, the fuel consumption and CO2 levels of both models has been reduced by 20 per cent, it further stated.
Cutting a low-slung figure on the road, mixed tyres showcase the new BMW X5M and X6M’s sporty track width, while an interior combining sporty features, exclusive materials and flawless workmanship complement their dynamic exterior presence.
The M instrument cluster, M leather steering wheel with aluminium gearshift paddles and M gearshift lever are complemented by electrically operated M sports seats for the driver and front passenger, an M driver’s footrest and the optional head-up display which, in addition to the standard system, also includes an M-specific display with gear indicator, rev band and shift lights.
Additional interior options include the Merino full-leather trim and M multifunction seats.
Further customisation is also possible with BMW Individual’s range of exclusive paint finishes like the BMW Individual Azurte Black metallic and Pyrite Brown metallic.
Other options from the BMW Individual collection include the roof liner available in Alcantara Smoke White, Alcantara Scotch dark and Alcantara Anthracite, the three interior trims; Piano Finish Black, Sen Light Brown fine wood and Ash Volcano Brown fine wood, it added.
