Swiss supercar maker Genevart will be presenting their new 850hp hybrid supercar at next year’s edition of the Geneva Motor Show. With that much power and a 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) time of under 3 seconds, we can say we’re looking forward to seeing it in the metal. There’s even more good news. The car is based on a pervious generation porsche 911 (the 997) Turbo, a car with one of the best sorted chassis in the motor industry. The 3.6-liter boxer engine is retained and its power is boosted from 470hp to a whopping 850hp, but that’s not all as it is further boosted by a pair of electric motors which provide 160 more horsepower. This colossal combined power output of 1010hp is put on the road via an all-wheel drive system. No pricing information is available yet, however it’s going to be extremely expensive (judging by its performance figures), but the company has confirmed a production run of around 10 units per year. This is definitely an alternative, albeit a more exclusive and expensive one, to the Porsche 918 which is currently in development.
