Oman Marketing and Services Co, the distributors for Honda Cars in Oman, has launched the new 2015 Honda CR-V.
The new model, a fresh upgrade with customer friendly features, is now available across all Honda showrooms in the Sultanate, said a statement.
The fourth generation 2015 CR-V boasts of a wider stance with enhanced exterior styling, offers a four-grade line-up including a 2WD option powered with a new direct-injection DOHC 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine with CVT transmission, plush interiors and a whole host of new and standard features depicting it as more efficient, functional and confident SUV.
It also boasts new exterior design which illustrates it as a smart yet tough SUV. The new front fascia blends with the new solid chrome grille lamp and the redesigned headlamps to give it a rugged and tough look, it said.
The sleek new front headlamps incorporate powerful halogen bulbs. LED daytime running lights as standard and HID projector headlamps in EX and EX-Leather grades gives the car a bold face optimising visibility in low light or foggy conditions. At the rear, LED combination lamps have been restyled to give CR-V a more fluid three dimensional appearance.
The newly styled 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels compliment the exterior design enhancements highlighting improved dynamism of CR-V.
CR-V’s body retains aerodynamic efficiencies of the previous version, with numerous design elements such as a long roofline and an integrated rear spoiler.
It includes Honda’s LaneWatch camera that displays a wide-angle view of the passenger side roadway on the display audio screen. All grades are equipped with, door mirror with side turn signal.
The model utilises Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure technology to enhance occupant protection and crash compatibility.
It boasts of Honda active-safety features such as the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Traction Control System (TCS) which enhances handling stability and predictability especially in poor traction conditions in addition to Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake Distributor (EBD) and Hill Start Assist.
Another new feature is the Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS) is standard on all 2015 CR-V models. The system incorporates driving stability technology that initiates steering inputs that prompt driver to steer in correct direction during cornering and in slippery road conditions.
Meanwhile, the 2015 CR-V is equipped with parking sensors on all grades to alert the driver when the object is close. The four sensors emit audible beeps that quicken as you approach objects.
In addition to that, EX and EX-Leather models are equipped with the rear view camera as a part of Honda approach to reduce pedestrian injuries.
The passive-safety features include Front Dual SRS airbag system (Dr. and Assist), front side airbag system, side curtain airbags and three-point ELR seatbelts for five passengers.
