Formula One racing star Nico Rosberg helped unveil the new Mercedes Benz S63 AMG during a ceremony at the Al Haddad Motors stand at the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix yesterday (April 5). The German, who drives for the Mercedes AMG Petronas team, put in his 10-minute appearance less than an hour before he was due out on the track for the first F1 practice session, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication. He told fans that he was excited to be in Bahrain for his 150th Grand Prix start, where he also leads the championship by a healthy margin going in to today's night race. After Rosberg's appearance, fans had a chance to take a closer look at the 2014 Mercedes Benz S63. With a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 585hp, the S63 is one of the most powerful luxury sedans on the market and is available now from Al Haddad Motors carrying a starting price of BD69,346 ($182,985). Motorsport fans who missed out on Rosberg's appearance yesterday have a chance to see his Mercedes teammate, British driver Lewis Hamilton, today.
