MKB has given several Mercedes AMG models some serious power.MKB has just released their power packages for several Mercedes-Benz AMG models. The packages are good for the Merc 500 V8 and the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engines. The 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the Mercedes Benz CL63, CLS63, ML63, S63 and the SL63 AMG has been cranked up by the German tuners for an impressive extra 122hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. MKB claims a total output of 640hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. All this added power was achieved through a revamp of the engine\'s ECU, tweaked boost pressure and the use of high-flow exhaust systems. The increased power leads to some impressive performance. The CLS63 AMG, for example, can sprint from 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 211mph. It is electronically limited, however, to a top speed of 186mph.The slightly less powerful 500 V8 engine features an ECU remap for a solid boost in power. Outputs of 530hp and 590 lb-ft of torque have been claimed by the Germans. With this package the CLS500 can run from 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 186mph.MKB\'s performance packages are both Euro 5 compliant and are backed up with a full MKB warranty. No pricing information has been released as of yet for their latest aftermarket programs for the Mercedes-Benz V8 engines.
