The new six-cylinder Maserati Ghibli was launched for the first time in Bahrain yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa. The 243kW eight automatic gear transmission will propel the car to 100kmph from a standstill position in just 5.6 seconds, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication. Even with a maximum speed of 263kmph the new Maserati Ghibli has been awarded two prestigious and internationally recognised ratings for passive safety. The car was unveiled by Euro Motors managing director Zayed Al Zayani in the presence of leading dignitaries, businessmen and women. The Ghibli shares many of the design features of its big sister and Maserati flagship, the Quattroporte. The car is available at the Masarati Centre in Sitra at a starting price of BD28,995 ($75,903). Source: TradeArabia
