After years of rumors and speculations, the successor for the Ferrari 599 has finally been caught testing! Don’t let the garbs fool you, though, it was only 20 degrees Celsius/68 degrees Fahrenheit outside, but the GT prototype was dressed for sub-zero weather so Ferrari can hide the car’s design for a few more months.Secrets aside, we expect the exterior design for the future 599 replacement - codenamed F152, but rumored to be called the F620 - to be an evolution of the current 599, with design elements borrowed from both the 458 Italia and the FF. Due to use of more aluminum parts the new car will be lighter than the current 599, meaning it will also be even faster. The new GT will be powered by a 6.3 liter V12 engine that will deliver more than 700 HP. With this output, the GT will be more powerful than both the 599 (620 HP) and the current FF (660 HP), but more importantly, it will beat out the Lamborghini Aventador (700 HP 6.5 liter V12 engine). The engine will send its power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with an F1 style electronic differential. The official debut of the Ferrari F152/F620 will be made in March 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show with sales beginning in late 2012.
