A group of news directors and editors-in-chief of Kuwaiti media, who are visiting Iran, met with Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi here on Tuesday afternoon. According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, in the meeting, Salehi called Iran-Kuwait relations historical, deep-rooted and brotherly. He continued that Iranians, in the hardest time of occupation of Kuwait by Saddam regime, supported their Kuwaiti brothers. Salehi underlined that Iran\'s foreign policy relies on fixed and unchangeable principles, and support for oppressed people of Palestine is a clear proof of such a policy. He added Iran has paid the expenses for being committed to such Islamic and humanitarian principles and this is the main root for politico-economic pressures of the west and especially the USA against Iran. Referring to dependence of economic development on establishment of stability and security in the region, Salehi said that joint interests of Iran and other countries of the region require strengthening stability through cooperation and good relations.
