A group of journalists representing 25 African countries and the Middle East News Agency (MENA) called for re-opening the agency's offices in Africa. 

This came during a visit by African journalists to MENA headquarters within the framework of their participation in the 48th training session of African journalists.

The training course, grouping 25 Arabic-, English- and French-speaking African journalists, is organized by the Federation of African Journalists (FAJ). It is held from November 26 to December 15.

The journalists represent the following countries; South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Morocco, Botswana, Niger, Zambia, Djibouti, Angola, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Gabon, Rwanda, Gambia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Uganda, Chad, Eritrea, Namibia and South Africa.

Ten other journalists from Egyptian press institutions are participating in the training course.
