Music icon Janet Jackson paid respects to late singer and actress Aaliyah by sharing a heartfelt note she penned on Twitter Tuesday.
Fourteen years after Aaliyah tragically died in a plane crash at the age of 22, Jackson along with countless other fans took to social media to remember the performer and how she affected their lives.
"What I shared with u [is] ever sacred, everlasting [and] it's pure and it will endure. I love u Aaliyah. #RIP," the handwritten letter read, along with the caption "I know u r there shining down on me. #ConversationsInACafe"
Friend and producer Timbaland also paid tribute to Aaliyah, posting a photo collage on Instagram with the caption, "R.I.P babegirl!!!!!"
