Jessica Simpson posts strange carpet photo

 Jessica Simpson shared a strange photo Saturday on Instagram.
The 34-year-old singer posted a picture of herself sprawled out on the floor in a... seductive? manner. Simpson offered no explanation other than captioning the snapshot "I love carpet."
The awkward photo puzzled fans, who expressed their bewilderment in the comments section. The picture had received over 16,000 likes as of Monday.
Simpson is active on Instagram and other social media, and often shares snapshots of herself and her children, 2-year-old daughter Maxwell and 1-year-old son Ace. She posted a photo of her freshly-dyed platinum hair last week.
Simpson last released a holiday album, Happy Christmas, in 2010. She has focused on design in recent years, and launched several fashion and perfume lines since the early 2000s.
