Kevin Smith shows off 85-pound weight loss

Kevin Smith recently showed off his 85-pound weight loss on Twitter.

The 44-year-old actor shared before and after photos of himself next to daughter Harley Quinn Smith, writing, "Left: me & my kid in 2008. Right: 2 weeks ago, 85 pounds later. I shan't wear pants and will never abort the short."

Smith started to lose weight after he was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for being too large to fit in a single seat in 2010. He posted several angry tweets about the incident at the time, prompting an apology and $100 voucher.

"I started out heavy and then got heavier and, probably because of my job, I got to be heavy my whole life," he told Men's Health in February. "If I had another job, probably, people would've been so cruel I might've tried to lose weight sooner. But in the movie business, your colleagues and your friends and the people who want to hire you, they're not telling you you're fat."

Smith and his daughter will co-star in his new movie, Yoga Hosers, with Johnny Depp and the actor's daughter, Lily-Rose Depp. The film will see the teenagers unite against an ancient evil, and also features Haley Joel Osment, Justin Long and Natasha Lyonne.
