Broadcaster and Lekul Innisaa magazine editor-in-chief Sohaila Erriki has expressed her delight at winning an honorary award recognising pioneering Moroccan women, in an exclusive interview with Arabstoday. \"This gesture entrenches the culture of recognising Moroccan women\'s achievements,\" she said. Erriki, alongside other leading women in the media, arts, sport and fashion were honoured at a ceremony on Saturday marking International Women\'s Day on March 8. The event was masterminded by the Haniaan Foundation which aims to patronise achievements in arts, culture and sport. Erriki said the initiative was \"a beautiful gesture\" and thanked the foundation. She said the award has given her \"a positive boost\" that will help “propel her media career further.\" Other awards went to Fadhila Benmoussa and Hend Saadidi for the arts, journalists Asmahan Ammour and Malika Miliani as well as Amazigh broadcaster Zaina Hammou, and fashion designer Hoda el-Falatiniya.
