The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is seriously considering suing Charlie Hebdo for republishing caricatures defaming the Prophet Muhammad of Islam.
The French magazine republished the cartoons in its first issue after a recent attack on its premises that left 12 dead.
OIC Secretary General Iyad Madani told Saudi Arabia's "Al Watan" newspaper the organization is studying European and French laws on freedom of expression, its regulations and framework before taking the step.
He touched upon a number of French laws that prohibit handling of certain topics believed to be harmful to the social fabric
