Dr. Abdul Mon'em bin Mansoor Al Hassani, Minister of Information received in his office on Tuesday Riccardo Busi, President of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), who is currently visiting the Sultanate.
Dr. Al Hassani welcomed the guest. He reviewed with him aspects of joint cooperation to support the photographic art march in a manner that enables realising friendship and coexistence among peoples around the globe.
FIAP President has granted Dr. Abdul Mon'em bin Mansoor Al Hassani, Minister of Information the Honorary Friendship Order in recognition of his efforts in serving photography at the local and international levels.
The FIAP Honorary Friendship Order is an international order granted for persons who contributed remarkably at the knowledge and humanitarian levels through photography around the world.
The FIAP President hailed the progress being witnessed by the Sultanate in various tracks of development, as well as the continuous efforts being exerted by the Photographic Society of Oman of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) in the photography field. He described the Society as one of the major international stations in photography, thanks to the constant Government attention and integration of all institutions in the Sultanate in upgrading the humanitarian field.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Head of the Photographic Society of Oman.
