A number of Saudi newspapers stressed on Thursday the importance of Saudi King Salam Bin Abdel Aziz's visit to Egypt and his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In its editorial titled "Riyadh, Cairo..one fate", the Saudi Okaz newspaper said the king's "historic" visit to Cairo reflected the deeply-rooted ties between Riyadh and Cairo.
It further deemed the visit as the "strongest response" to those who try to manipulate the geopolitical complications in the region to spread rumors and tamper with the Arab national security.
For its part, the "Riyadh" newspaper, in an article titled "Saudi Arabia and Egypt on a mission of restoring the region", accused some parties of working on marring Egyptian-Saudi ties with a view to achieving clannish interests.
