BBC America says it has renewed its first original comedy series Almost Royal for an eight-episode second season.
The show is produced by Burning Bright Productions with Clive Tulloh as executive producer and Séamus Murphy-Mitchell as series producer.
"Burning Bright is delighted to have the opportunity to be making a second season of Almost Royal for BBC America," Tulloh said in a statement. "We are very proud to have made such an innovative comedy series that had found an audience on both sides of the Atlantic."
"Poppy and Georgie are back. God help us all," added Perry Simon, BBC America's general manager.
The comedy stars Ed Gamble and Amy Hoggart as Georgie and Poppy Carlton -- aristocratic siblings and the 57th and 58th in line to the British throne -- who travel all over the United States studying American culture.
