Libyan Information Minister Omar al Qwery on Tuesday underlined the necessity of setting up a unified Arab TV channel.
In statements after a meeting of the Arab Information Ministers Executive Office, he added that he presented the meeting with a proposal on this score.
The proposed channel should be a deterrent Arab media force to stand up to challenges facing the Arab region.
The move, he explained, goes in line with the joint Arab military forces that is being set up now.
The meetings are held ahead of the Arab information ministers council meeting that will be held here on Thursday.
