Microsoft and Orange have signed an agreement to offer Orange TV 30 channels, on Xbox 360 consoles. Starting next Spring, Orange’s subscribers who pay the €5 monthly fee to get the Xbox Live Gold option, will also be able to use voice and motion-activated television control developed under Kinect’s technology. Customers will then experience a new way to use their television and interact with Orange TV to change channels, launch a video, pause the video, etc., without any remote control required. To launch Orange TV from the Xbox interface, users will simply say “Xbox Orange” to the game console. This content and service offer will grow progressively throughout the year to include the catch-up service and Orange’s video-on-demand catalogue.
