The Russian Association of Communications Agencies has asked TV channels to disclose their ownership in order to avoid an unjustified application of the Western sanctions, a source close to the entity said Tuesday.
“The request results from a wish to avoid an unduly application of sanctions, which could provoke problems and cause damage to the business of all players of the TV advertising market,” the letter read.
“The letter was sent to all TV channels; a lot of them responded. The association needs it so when an advertiser asks for information about the channel’s owners, we can provide it,” the source said.
