The number of followers of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's social media accounts has reached 5 million people on Facebook, 382,000 on Twitter and 175,000 on Instagram, the presidency's media office said on Tuesday.
The presidency has activated a number of pages on social media websites for the president to allow quick and direct communication with citizens
Since March 2015, the media office has been keen on posting news, data and photos on the activities and meetings of the president, allowing the citizens wider opportunities to react and give their opinions.
