The president's media office said on Saturday that at least 1,800,000 users browsed the website of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank after only three hours of its launch.
The launch was celebrated earlier on the day after a ceremony on the youth day attended by Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The website is part of an initiative launched by the president in the 2014 Labor's Day labeled "Toward an Egyptian community that learns, thinks and innovates."
The initiative is expected to be the largest knowledge hub in the world that provides free access to education opportunities and content from various fields.
