The Emirates ID Authority (EIDA) Page on Facebook has attracted new 5 thousand followers again during the last two weeks, in the context of the high frequency of competition between followers and customers to win in round 1 of the interactive competition launched by the Emirates ID on its page under the title of "UAE Timeline". Emirates ID stated that the competition will offer the followers on its page on Facebook the opportunity to contribute in documenting and writing the history of the UAE, and to record various social occasions and events whether private or public, through the access to the e-application, then selecting the date, recording the event that suites them, in addition to uploading the image that expresses the event and attaching it. Emirates ID encouraged its customers to participate in the first round of its competition which is witnessing an increase in the number of participants to win one of the valued prizes to be announced on 23rd of April. Emirates ID clarified that such companions is used to attract the customers for visiting its social pages, in a way to introduce its services, which is delivered through that pages such as; responding to the complaints and answering the customers questions within 24 hours, with the aim of providing the best services, and gaining customer satisfaction. The 6-month new interactive competition allows the participants to be eligible to win valuable electronic prizes to be divided into six rounds of one month each. The idea of the application lies in devising a cultural and information-based encyclopaedia featuring the most important events witnessed by the UAE since its inception in 1971 up till now. The encyclopaedia can be browsed and read by merely selecting the year or month in which the user is looking for the event. The mechanism of participation in the competition lies in adding a historical event to the electronic application and sharing it with friends and followers on Facebook or Twitter with the aim of collecting as many times of admiration of the event as possible. This entitles the first placeholder to win the round in question, while the top 100 placeholders who were not lucky in any round will compete over the grand prize: a 2-night stay in a UAE hotel and a tourist journey of one of the UAE's most important historical landmarks. To participate in the competition, a contestant needs to have an ID card and should agree to join the list of followers of the Emirates ID's page on Facebook, the Emirates ID said. The Emirates ID pointed out that this competition came as part of its efforts to promote the loyalty of citizens and affiliation of residents in line with its strategic plan for social communication emanating from its strategic plan 2010-2013, which focuses on developing a world-class services agency with the aim of upgrading customer service towards gaining the satisfaction of customers. The Emirates ID clarified that launching this competition came as part of its ongoing quest to enhance the channels of communication with the society and is based on its keenness on positively interacting with its followers via these channels, who exceeded 25,000 on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, since the electronic interaction service was officially launched in May 2012. â€"
