The Jobs Abu Dhabi (JAD) portal has continued to witness widespread success and demand as it reinforces its status as the preferred recruitment channel for the emirate of Abu Dhabi in 2015, attracting over 107,433 applicants.
A key initiative under the e-Government Program of the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the portal has effectively served as an employment website that connects Abu Dhabi's government and private sector employers with jobseekers around the world. It has successfully attracted 613,872 registered job seekers; 4,894 employer registrations; 15,571 jobs postings; and 11,068,099 total number of visitors, with an average of 3,000 jobs posted every year. JAD has also extended its visibility to 155 countries.
Ahmed Al Hashimi, senior manager of e-Government Services at ADSIC, stated: "Jobs Abu Dhabi continues to notably support Abu Dhabi's rapid economic development and growth, as the most popular service within the Abu Dhabi e-Government Portal. Over the years, JAD has increased employers reach to a vast pool of local and global talent in order to meet their human capital and various recruitment needs across a multitude of specialisations and sectors, in a highly convenient, user-friendly and efficient manner that connects candidates to top employers."
Al Hashimi went on to say that ADSIC managed to continually improve and expand the portal's services over the last eight years by working closely with international HR experts and partners, in order to establish a truly comprehensive employment digital gateway, with increased focus on delivering additional personalised services for government entities and new customer-centric enhancements.
Bridging the gap between employers and job seekers, JAD has emerged as the number one job search engine in Abu Dhabi and is not directly involved in the actual recruitment process, which is managed at the discretion of employers and at the individual entity level instead.
Al Hashimi added: "We highly encourage employers from the government and private sectors to join Jobs Abu Dhabi and benefit from its vast resources, as it provides the market with unmatched access to human capital and direct immediate impact on businesses and their operations."
JAD also crossed another key milestone in its operations during the sixth edition of the annual virtual job gathering; e-Fair, which was organised by ADSIC last May.
The 2015 e-Fair aimed to bring Abu Dhabi employers and job-seekers together and witnessed excellent turnout with 20,260 total visits, 91 employers, 13,400 job vacancies, 5,710 job seeker registrations, and 107,433 CVs received.
