Egypt Telecom's internet arm, TE Data, said it started applying the new ADSL prices on Wednesday.
The new reduced ADSL prices charge 1 Mbps for EGP 50 with approximately 10 GB traffic. A speed of 1 Mbps with 100 GB will cost EGP 95, 2 Mbps with 140 GB is priced at EGP 140, 4 Mbps with 250 GB will sell for EGP 220 and the 8 Mbps package will come with 300 GB for EGP 350.
After the download ceiling finishes for the 1 Mbps packages, internet speed will come down to 256 Kbps/second, the internet provider said.
As for the remaining internet packages of 2, 4 and 8 Mbps, the download speed will be reduced to 512 Kbps/second, it added.
