The Bahrain Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), in cooperation with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), has held a three-day workshop focused on child online protection.
Representatives from various governmental sectors and institutions participated in the workshop and praised the efforts made in encountering the challenges taking place in various countries of the world.
The workshop included a number of topics, among of them the discussion of strategies to combat challenges that threaten the security and safety of children using the internet, and the role of international cooperation in the same area.
TRA, on 20 Nov. 2014, will hold an interactive programme, as a complementary step to this workshop, on the challenges facing child online protection to coincide with Universal Children's Day.
