EgyptSat 2 (MisrSat 2) satellite will be launched in 2019 after a deal was signed with China on that score, Chairman of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS) Medhat Mokhtar said on Thursday.
It is the first satellite to be established by an under-construction center for manufacturing satellites based in el Tagamu el Khames district in Greater Cairo, Mokhtar told MENA.
The satellite will cost 50 million dollars, he added.
It will be operative for ten years, Mokhtar noted.
