The 1987 thriller Fatal Attraction is making its way back to audiences, though this time on the small screen.
Deadline reports it is a "reimagining" of the original film, and will follow the same plot progression. The original film, which starred Glenn Close and Michael Douglas, deals with a lawyer who has a two day fling with Glenn Close's character Alex.
The film centers Alex's obsession and stalking of Douglas' character and family. The Guardian said Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the reboot, hasn't mentioned much about how the project will be implemented.
Variety confirmed Fox has ordered a script from Paramount Pictures for a one-hour long drama. Maria and Andre Jacquemetton, the writers of AMC hit Mad Men, will serve as executive producers and writers for the show.
Fatal Attraction has seen a few incarnations since the 1987 film, and many have explored Close's character and mental illness.
There has been no word on casting or how they will handle the infamous bunny-boiling scene.
