English actress Jenna Coleman has put Doctor Who fans at ease with the confirmation that she'll be reprising her role as the doctor's companion Clara Oswaldin in the upcoming season of the show.
"It's wonderful," the 28-year-old said of the news, according to the BBC. "I get a whole other series of stories with the Doctor and I couldn't walk away with the story being unresolved."
Coleman has portrayed Clara Oswald since 2012. The actress has starred alongside the series' last two doctors played by Matt Smith and now Peter Capaldi.
The actress' future with the show became uncertain in November when showrunner Steven Moffat confirmed Capaldi for the 13th season, but failed to say the same about Coleman.
"There is so much more to do. I think they've finally just reached a point where they really understand each other," she said.
