Mark-Paul Gosselaar sitcom People Are Talking has been ordered to series at NBC.
The comedy marks the 41-year-old actor's first regular television project since TNT canceled Franklin & Bash in November 2014. The network also picked up Superstore with America Ferrera and Crowded with Patrick Warburton.
People Are Talking stars Gosselaar, a yet-to-be-determined actress, Tone Bell and Bresha Webb as two couples who are neighbors and best friends. Meaghan Rath was slated to play Gosselaar's character's wife, but will be replaced due to a conflict with Fox.
The series hails from Will Packer (Ride Along) and Pam Fryman (How I Met Your Mother), who will co-executive produce with D.J. Nash (Growing Up Fisher). Fryman will also direct the pilot, and Nash will serve as writer.
Gosselaar is best known for portraying Zack Morris on NBC sitcom Saved by the Bell, and went on to play Detective John Clark on ABC police drama NYPD Blue. He most recently guest starred as Jared Briscoe/Paul Winthrop on CBS series CSI.
