Two people are dead after yet another shooting on an American university campus, this time at the University of California Los Angeles, local media report.
The shooting occurred at 10 a.m. local time in an Engineering Dept. building on the L.A. campus, which has been put on lockdown, local station KABC says. The suspect is being described as a white male, about 6 foot tall, according to the university's student newspaper, The Daily Bruin.
University officials have acknowledged two victims, but did not specify their condition. KABC TV says they are dead. The United States in recent years has witnessed a raft of multiple murders on college campus and schools, leading to calls for stricter gun control and psychological health services.
