Head of Egypt Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) Gaber El Desouki attended on Thursday a graduation ceremony of 29 Iraqi trainees who got two courses in the electricity and new and renewable energy fields.
This comes within the framework of Egyptian-Iraqi cooperation to qualify Iraqi cadres to operate and maintain electricity system.
The two courses are part of the current program being implemented by EEHC, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Iraq Electricity Ministry, El Desouki added.
Egypt is fully prepared to help reconstruct and achieve development in Iraq either through qualifying Iraqi cadres studying in Egypt or backing Egyptian electricity companies working there to set up projects and provide Iraqi companies with electrical equipment needed for reforming the whole Iraqi electricity system, he asserted.
