Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby received Sunday visiting Somali Education Minister Khadra Bashir Ali in the presence of Somali Ambassador to Egypt Abdullah Hassan.
The Somali official said she discussed with Egyptian and Arab League officials the current situation in Somalia and means to provide support to Mogadishu in the education field.
Somalia, whose links with Egypt date back to 1952, is looking forward to Egyptian support during this phase as Somalia suffers from many problems, including terrorism, she added.
She posted the Arab League chief on the deteriorating educational conditions in Somalia and its dire need for support.
