At least 15 children were killed in a collision between a school bus and a truck in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, local police said.
The crash occurred in the Etah district on Thursday morning when the bus was driving the children to school.
"Over 15 school kids feared dead. Rescue of injured ongoing," state police chief Javeed Ahmad wrote on Twitter.
Thirty-five children were also injured in the accident, local police said.
The truck was being driven at a high speed at the time of the collision, local media reported.
The children on the bus were all junior school students aged between seven and 10 years old, broadcaster (NDTV) reported.
An investigation has been ordered into the accident.
