Minister of Education Moheb el Rafei called on Egyptian scientist and Noble Prize Laurent Ahmed Zewail to take part in a plan to develop pre-university education.
In a press conference at Zewail City of Science and Technology Monday, the minister said Egypt will only develop through a national project for education in which Zewail and other scientists take part.
For his part, Zewail said that the state-of-the-art technology will benefit all sectors including the Armed Forces, pointing out that the state is keen on developing education.
The engineering authority of the Armed Forces exert tremendous efforts to fulfill Zewail City project, said the Egyptian scientist, who revealed that businessman Samih Saweras donated 100 million pounds for the project.
